Writers strike

Posted by TheXenderman - September 18th, 2023

I NEED to go on a rant about this. I've been seeing so many people saying "I dont feel bad for these writers at all! they should burn!!" or "ALL OF HOLLYWOOD SHOULD BURN AND THE WORLD IS BETTER FOR IT!!!" or even "Writing? Get a real job like coding, LOSER!!!" and these are people i feel like should be slapped in the face. These writers NEED SECONDARY JOBS to support their fulltime career just to stay afloat, their pay is being cut, they cant afford rent or food, and people call them "privileged." Sure, yeah, a lucky few maybe. But JUST BECAUSE YOU DISLIKE A MOVIE DOESNT MEAN THE WRITERS OF SAID MOVIE DESERVE TO STARVE!!! I dont like alpha and omega 3 but i dont think the writers of that movie deserve to STARVE IN THE STREET!!!! ALSO THEY KEEP MENTIONING HOW BAD HOLLYWOOD HAS GOTTEN!?!? DUDE YOU'RE JUST BAD AT LOOKING FOR MOVIES!!! OPPENHEIMER, BARBIE IS THE FUNNIEST MOVIE IVE SEEN IN A WHILE, KLAUS, SPIDER-VERSE, DUNE PART 1, THE BATMAN, GDT'S PINOCCHIO, SMILING FRIENDS, SHERA 2018 (yeah, I'll say it. It was well fucking written!), WOLFWALKERS (I know that one is indie, but when one refers to HOLLYWOOD nowadays, all they're referring to is the whole goddamn film industry! Very few movies are made IN Hollywood anymore!!!), Wendell and Wild, Bee and Puppycat, IS EVERYONE WHO SAYS "good tv and movies dont exist anymore" FUCKING BLIND OR SOMETHING!?!?!?!!?!!?!?! OR ARE THEY JUST TIRED OF ALL THE REMAKES THAT DISNEY MAKES AND THEN PROCEEDS TO PROJECT THAT FRUSTRATION ONTO THE WORKING CLASS INSTEAD OF THE EXECUTIVES!?!!? AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH THIS IS SO FUCKING FRUSTRATING!!!!!
